Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.

Preventive Services
We recommend that you visit our office at least twice a year for a dental examination and prophy (teeth cleaning). During this visit we will update your medical and dental history, take x-rays, evaluate your gum tissue, discuss any treatment needed and clean your teeth. Children may receive dental sealants to protect their teeth and fluoride to help prevent cavities.

Patients who have moderate to advanced periodontitis (gum disease) are placed in our Periodontal treatment and Maintenance Programs and tend to visit us more frequently to achieve and maintain healthy gums. Periodontal disease has been linked to general health, especially cardiac health. We work closely with our patients to help them understand this link and to help them achieve optimum oral health.

TOOTH WHITENING
When asked the question, “If you could change something about your smile, what could that be?” Most people would say a whiter smile. In fact, teeth whitening is very popular today, and there are many over the counter systems available. However, most patients experience limited success with these types of over the counter systems.

Do you need a crown and wish you could get it in one visit, with no temporaries, or impression taking? Well, now you can. We are proud to offer CEREC restorations. This is a one-visit technology that uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera and computer assisted software to create durable tooth colored ceramic restorations and crowns while you wait. COWNS & BRIDGES
We offer traditional crowns (caps) and bridges to repair and replace missing teeth. Dr. Adesanya enjoys helping patients restore their dental health through the use of crowns and bridges because he knows that doing so can prevent other teeth from shifting their positions. ENDODONTICS
Endodontic treatment (root canal) allows you to keep teeth that would otherwise need extractions. Dr. Adesanya prides himself on using the latest technology to ensure your comfort should you need endodontic therapy. The procedure is virtually painless and many of our patients actually sleep through the procedure.

EXTRACTIONS
It may be necessary to have a tooth “pulled” or it simply may be the patients wish. Dr. Adesanya and his team will strive to ensure your comfort during and following the treatment.

COMPLETE & PARTIAL DENTURES
The alternative to replacing missing teeth with bridges or implants is either a complete denture (if all teeth are missing) or a partial denture (some natural teeth remain). This is a process that involves taking impressions of your gums and remaining teeth, in addition to taking several jaw measurements so that the denture(s) can be constructed by an offsite lab.

COMPOSITE FILLINGS
For several years, we have exclusively used composite “white” filling material to repair tooth structure that has been lost either to tooth decay or fracture. After selecting a shade to match your existing tooth, removing existing decay, and preparing the tooth, the composite material is bonded to the tooth structure. It is then polished to a smooth finish. Composite fillings are highly durable and contain no mercury.
